Ed’s Qualifications
Starting out as an HVAC service technician for Consumers Gas in 1973, Ed rapidly propelled through the ranks to become the Lead Technical Trainer for Direct Energy Essential Home Services.
Amongst his many achievements as lead technical trainer, Ed:
- Designed and supervised construction of a Technical Training Facility.
- Evaluated new products for potential service problems.
- Developed and implemented training course for new recruits
His certifications include:
- Certified Energy Advisor
- Certificate of Qualification Gas Fitter 1 Ontario
- Certificate of Qualification Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Ontario
- Certificate of Qualification Refrigeration Mechanic British Columbia
- Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University
- Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada
- Residential Mechanical Ventilation Design
Today, Ed works as a home energy consultant and energy auditor throughout British Columbia’s southern Okanagan Valley for Amerispec.
Ed’s hobbies include hiking, kayaking and travelling with his best friend – internationally reknowned Internet marketing speaker, author and consultant, Rosalind Gardner. They share a travel blog at Roamsters.com.
